Hi, I'm Philip :)
I'm a Bachelor's student in Artificial Intelligence at JKU Linz and a Student Researcher at the CIR Lab, Medical University of Vienna, where I work on computer vision and medical image analysis.
Outside the lab I am building and destroying my homelab tirelessly, tinker with robotics, and have spent way too many years chasing opponents with a sabre.
I care about internet-privacy, a strong Europe and building things that are both technically solid and useful.
I believe that AI should be a tool and not a replacement.

Projects
Hobbies
Fencing
I've been fencing for 15 years and competed at multiple European and World Championships. After completing my mandatory army service with the Heeresleistungssportzentrum I injured my shoulder and stepped back from competing — but I still pursue it as a hobby. The people I met through this sport, from all corners of the world, are something I'm genuinely grateful for.
Nature & Adventures
Most of my time goes to screens, so I make a point of getting outside and seeing the world. When I travel, I go deep — meeting locals, eating whatever's in front of me, getting genuinely lost. This photo is from Sumatra, Indonesia, where I spent time with the Mentawai tribe hunting protein-rich worms out of old trees.
